Before aspiring to be a real estate investor I never knew what a trust was. After joining GSREIA and attending a trust work shop hosted by Tony Reaves, I learned just how important a tool a trust can be for asset planning. The time came when I decided to take title to properties in Trust, Tony held my hand through this process, making sure that I had all of the necessary documentation to place the property in trust. After all of the paperwork was in order I was faced with major opposition from my lenders attorney. After a number of conference calls with Tony and the attorney for the lender, she finally agreed to allow me to take title to the property with the trust documentation the way it was. Tony's guidance through that process was tremendously helpful. Since then I've gone on to take a number of properties in trust including a number of subject to deals that have caused me to increase my net worth exponentially.
